John Kimmons

General John Frederick “Jeff” Kimmons〔Marquis Who's Who on the Web〕 is a retired American Lieutenant General, who served as the 3rd Army Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2, and the 11th Commanding General, United States Army Intelligence and Security Command He was instrumental in the development of Army Field Manual, FM 2-22.3, Human Intelligence Collector Operations, which was the Army's response to actions at Abu Ghraib prison. Kimmons retired from active service on December 1, 2010 after 35 years.
==Early life==
John Frederick Kimmons was born in 1955, in Rutherford, New Jersey, an inner-ring suburb of New York City, to Hildegarde “Hilde” Marie (née Koehler) and John Austin Kimmons. Cadet Kimmons matriculated into The Citadel Corps of Cadet on August 1, 1970. Rising to the rank of Cadet Lieutenant, he was the commander of B Company. Upon graduation, he was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Armor branch.
